COOKIES AND ONLINE TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES WE USE

“Cookies” are small files of information or bits of data stored by your web browser software on your computer hard drive, mobile device, or other devices such as smartphones or tablets. When you visit a website, your browser will send a piece of data (typically as a string of numbers and letters) to the web server where the website is hosted, and a Cookie will be automatically created by the visited website and stored on your device.  The Cookie is used to collect information, and the information may be about you, your preferences or your device. Cookies are used for several reasons including to make websites work more efficiently, provide information to the owners of the website, attempt to match your preferences to what you may want to see on the website you are visiting, and improve your online experience.

From time to time, CIMI may use Cookies on its websites.  In that regard, CIMI advises you that it uses (or does not use) the following types of Cookies:

Strictly Necessary Cookies (Essential Cookies):  CIMI uses Essential Cookies at its Sites. This type of  Cookie is necessary for our Sites to operate and function. Without them, the Sites will not perform properly. They enable the core network transmission operations of the Sites.  They may be set in response to actions by you constituting a request for services such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms. You cannot choose to turn off Essential Cookies in our systems, but you can set your browser to block or alert you about Essential Cookies.  If you block Essential Cookies on your browser, the Sites or parts thereof may not work correctly.  For the purpose of our broader Privacy Policy, we do not consider the Essential Cookies used by CIMI to contain personally identifiable information.

Performance Cookies (Analytics Cookies):  CIMI uses Performance Cookies. These Cookies or technologies allow us to track visits to our Sites so that we can audit, measure and analyze website activity and improve the performance of the Sites, the user experience and our services.  As examples, Performance Cookies allow us to see which web pages are popular or unpopular and teach us how visitors move around our Sites. We may use Performance Cookies (and similar technologies that third-party vendors provide) to collect information on user behavior at the Sites (e.g., screens and pages visited, buttons and links clicked, limited information entered, and user taps, keystrokes, and mouse movements). You may choose to disable the use of Performance Cookies at our Sites.  See the section below on How to Manage Cookies

With respect to Performance Cookies or technologies, we may use Google reCAPTCHA, a free service provided by Google, Inc., to protect our Sites from spam and abuse. Google reCAPTCHA uses advanced risk analysis techniques to decipher between humans and bots using our Sites. Google reCAPTCHA works differently depending on what version is deployed. For example, you may be asked to check a box indicating that you are not a robot and Google reCAPTCHA may detect abusive traffic without user interaction. Google reCAPTCHA works by transmitting certain types of information to Google, such as the referrer URL, IP address, visitor behavior, operating system information, length of the visit, Cookies, and mouse movements. Your use of Google reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. More information as to Google reCAPTCHA and how it works is available here.

With respect to Performance Cookies or technologies, we use Google Analytics, on some of our Sites. It is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses Cookies or other tracking technologies to help us analyze how users interact with the Sites and Services, compile reports on their activity, and provide other services related to their activity and usage. The technologies used by Google may collect information such as your IP address, time of visit, whether you are a returning visitor, and any referring website. The information generated by Google Analytics will be transmitted to and stored by Google and will be subject to Google’s privacy policies. Functional Cookies:  CIMI may use Functional Cookies.  These Cookies enable our Sites to provide enhanced functions and personalization. They allow us to serve you with content tailored to your interests (such as remembering your preferred language or your time zone) or allow you to save the time of having to re-register or re-enter information when you revisit the Sites.  They also help us to manage underage users engaged in certain activities.  They  may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our Sites pages. You may choose to disable the use of Functional Cookies at our Sites.  See the section below on How to Manage Cookies

Targeting Cookies:  CIMI does not use Targeting Cookies to support targeted advertising at you.  When used, this type of Cookie is set throughout websites by social media platforms or advertising companies, and may be used to build a profile of your interests and preferences and show you relevant advertisements on other sites. Targeting Cookies can also support targeted advertising directed at you. They use unique identifying information regarding your browser and internet device.  CIMI does not use Cookies for CIMI to provide targeted advertising to you.

Tracking Pixels: CIMI does not use tracking pixels on its websites.
